Chris Taylor's Grand Slam Powers Dodgers' Victory Over Orioles

Dodgers Top MLB with 9th Slam, Ending Orioles' Streak at 8

Taylor's Sixth Career Grand Slam Caps Five-Run Rally

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Chris Taylor hit a grand slam home run off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Bryan Baker in the sixth inning, propelling the Dodgers to a 6-4 victory at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday night.

Taylor's blast was the Dodgers' ninth slam of the season, the most in Major League Baseball. It was also Taylor's sixth career grand slam, tying him for the most all-time among Dodgers players.

The Dodgers, who have now won four straight games, trailed 4-1 before rallying for five runs in the sixth inning. Will Smith singled to lead off the inning, and Mookie Betts doubled to put runners on second and third. Freddie Freeman then walked to load the bases, setting the stage for Taylor's heroics.

Taylor's grand slam was a no-doubter, soaring over the wall in right field. It gave the Dodgers a 6-4 lead, which they would hold on to for the victory.

Taylor, who earned his first All-Star nod in 2021 while playing six positions for the Dodgers, has been a key contributor to the team's success this season. He is currently batting .276 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs.
