Orange Motorcycle Helmet Recalled Due to Safety Concerns
Over 1000 Helmets Affected
Recall Issued by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a recall for over 1000 orange motorcycle helmets due to safety concerns. The helmets, manufactured by Leatt Corporation, have been found to have a defect that could cause the chin strap to detach during a crash, increasing the risk of head injury.
The affected helmets were sold between 2018 and 2023 and are identified by the model number 75. They are available in a variety of colors, including orange.
Consumers who own one of the affected helmets are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Leatt Corporation for a free replacement. The company has set up a dedicated website for the recall where consumers can register their helmet and receive instructions for returning it.
